The Tampa Bay Rays must recover fast from their Game 2 collapse versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Because now the American League winners are two losses away from tasting their third World Series loss. So manager Kevin Cash rolled out his vision for Game 3.

But it's a simple formula he shared on the eve of the first pitch inside Tropicana Field.

“Early runs and get the crowd behind us,” Cash told members of the media on what the plan is.

That's not all Cash is envisioning. He also addressed what he aims to do on the hill when facing the Brewers' batters in Game 4.

“All hands on deck,” Cash said, meaning he hasn't looked into the next game starter.

Meanwhile, Freddy Peralta heads to the mound in the name of sparking a comeback from down 2-0. The right hander Peralta has delivered 12 strikeouts this postseason while allowing an ERA of just 1.08.

But again, Cash will hope there's no similar meltdown from the Saturday defeat in Wisconsin. He watched his Rays jump to a 4-0 lead in the first inning thanks to Liam Hicks pounding a home run to right center field, luring Junior Caminero to home plate for that two-run blast.

Tampa watched the lead evaporate right away, though, starting in the bottom of the first inning. William Contreras and Garrett Mitchell each pounded RBI singles to spark the early rally. Cooper Pratt broke the 4-4 tie with his single to right that brought Brice Turang home.

The Rays previously lost the 2008 and 2020 WS. But Monday's game marks the first time Tropicana Field will host a WS game since '08.
