It was star third baseman Junior Caminero who started the Tampa Bay Rays' rally in the bottom of the 12th inning of Game 4 of their World Series clash against the Milwaukee Brewers. Facing reliever Shane Drohan, Caminero grounded a ball towards third base. He would then reach base on an errant throw from Joey Ortiz, sparking the Rays' comeback.
However, there was a moment of concern over Caminero's physical well-being. He was limping on his way to first base, and there were questions as to whether Rays manager Kevin Cash would pull him for a pinch-runner. However, they kept him with Liam Hicks at the plate, and when Hicks hit an opposite-field single, Caminero hustled all the way to third base before the Rays finally subbed him out for Cedric Mullins.
But at the end of the day, Cash, as per Marc Topkin of Tampa Bay Times, confirmed that the Rays third baseman is “fine” despite not looking as such prior to being subbed out for a pinch-runner.
The Rays' decision to deploy a pinch-runner just showed the importance of the situation. They had to drive in the tying run at all costs, after all, with the team down by one run, 3-2, in the bottom of the 12th.

Ben Williamson would then keep the line moving by hitting the ball high off the ground and on to right field to drive in the winning run to keep the Rays alive in the series.
But for Game 5, the Rays will need even more heroics, what with the Brewers set to deploy Jacob Misiorowski to start the game. And Caminero should play a big part in powering the Rays' attempt to come back in historic fashion in this year's Fall Classic.
