The Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson has missed three consecutive games because of a high ankle sprain he suffered against the Tennessee Titans. Fortunately for Ravens fans, Jackson has now returned to practice.
The Ravens are scheduled to face the Buffalo Bills on the road in Week 8. Ahead of the matchup, Baltimore released its Wednesday injury report, listing Jackson as a full participant. However, the team still has concerns on the defensive side, as safety Kyle Hamilton and linebacker Roquan Smith were among those who did not practice.
Jackson's availability could make a significant difference for a Baltimore offense that has struggled to find consistency without its starting quarterback. The Ravens went 1-2 during his absence, including their latest loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Before suffering the injury, the Ravens star quarterback had recorded 967 passing yards, six touchdowns, and one interception. During his absence, Tyler Huntley stepped in under center.
Though Jackson's full participation on Wednesday is an encouraging sign, his official game status will depend on how he progresses throughout the remainder of the week.
Meanwhile, Hamilton and Smith's absences from Wednesday's practice could create additional challenges for the Ravens against the Bills. However, the two defensive standouts were not the only Baltimore players who missed the session.
