The Chiefs will be without wide receiver Rashee Rice against the Chargers on Sunday.
Head coach Andy Reid told reporters on Friday that Rice has been ruled out for the clash of AFC West clubs. Rice has been out of practice this week while dealing with hamstring and knee injuries.
Rice has 13 catches for 190 yards and a touchdown so far this season. This will be the first game that he misses.
Reid also ruled left tackle Josh Simmons out with the back injury that has kept him from playing at all this year. Simmons did return to practice this week, however, and that bodes well for his chances of making it back into the lineup in the near future.
