The Texas Rangers have found themselves in first place in the AL West, surpassing the Houston Astros with just a few games remaining in the regular season. With the playoffs on the horizon, it'll be important for the Rangers to try to stay in the driver's seat, but ahead of their game against the Toronto Blue Jays, it was announced that they would be down a few players.

“Rangers transactions for Sunday: RHP Cal Quantrill placed on 15-day IL. RHP Winston Santos recalled from Round Rock (AAA),” the Astros wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

To add to that, Brandon Nimmo was scratched from the lineup.
