The Los Angeles Rams suffered their second straight loss in Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals, and they also lost one of their new players to injury. After signing with the team during the week, Blake Grupe only had the chance to make one kick for the Rams before he was injured in the first quarter.

The update wasn't great for him following the game as he was seen on crutches, according to Arash Markazi of the Sporting Tribune.

“Rams kicker Blake Grupe is on crutches and his leg is in a brace. He’s saying goodbye to his teammates on the way out of the locker room,” Markazi wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Grupe was signed off the New York Jets' practice squad after Harrison Mevis missed a 50-yard field goal and then had his 48-yard field goal blocked in overtime against the Buffalo Bills.

With Grupe now hurt, this means that the Rams will have to find yet another kicker before their game against the Las Vegas Raiders next week. Outside of finding a new kicker, the Rams have some other issues to work through, which have led them to a surprising 2-4 start to the season.

Head coach Sean McVay was honest about what's been hurting the team, and it looks like it happens to be self-inflicted wounds.

“You know, congrats to the Cardinals, we won't win a game unless we figure out how not to beat ourselves,” McVay said. “Like I just told you guys, to be able to not beat ourselves, before we figure out how to even come away with some of the results, it's not even good enough and I have to do a much better job. Today, there is nothing positive that I can say about today.”
