The Las Vegas Raiders were fully prepared to battle the Kansas City Chiefs on even terms for 60 minutes in Week 4. The two ancient rivals came into their game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas with 3-0 records. While the Chiefs were trying to regain their status as one of the NFL's elite teams after a poor year in 2025, the Raiders were attempting to establish themselves as an up-and-coming team that has a chance to eventually play postseason football.
The Chiefs outlasted the Raiders 30-27 in a thoroughly exciting game that featured a huge performance from Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III and Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins. Walker ran for 177 yards and 2 TDs within a 19-second span in the fourth quarter. Cousins completed 31 of 52 passes for 365 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception.
However, Raiders first-year head coach Klink Kubiak took three points off the board that could have helped his team extend the game into overtime. Raiders PK Matt Gay made a 41-yard FG early in the third quarter that would have tied the score at 13-13. However, a five-yard penalty on the Chiefs gave the Raiders a 4th-and-2 play rather than the 4th-and-7 play that led to the field goal. Kubiak took the points off the board, but Cousins' subsequent pass fell incomplete and that gave the Chiefs possession.

The Chiefs are one of three undefeated NFL teams through the first four weeks of the season. They joined the Minnesota Vikings and the San Francisco 49ers as the other two teams with 4-0 records.
