It has been an up-and-down season for the Dallas Cowboys, to say the least. They are stuck in the middle with a 2-3 record, and something has to change on both ends of the field to help the Cowboys climb out of mediocrity.
After their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5, Quinnen Williams called for a defensive players-only meeting. It can go both ways for the Cowboys—either they will band together or fissure out.
When Williams was asked about what they discussed in the closed-door meeting, he refused to divulge anything.
“I'm going to keep that to myself,” said the veteran enforcer, as quoted by the Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins.
The 28-year-old defensive tackle also shouldered the blame for their uninspiring stretch.
“I take full accountability and full responsibility for the way this defense is going at the moment. I took a break this weekend to reset, learn, grow, and focus on getting better,” shared Williams, as reported by DLLS Sports' Clarence Hill Jr.
In five games, he has 15 total tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble.
The Cowboys are giving up 395.4 total yards per outing, which is the second-most in the NFL. They are allowing 27.2 points per game, which ranks in the bottom half of the league.

“I love it. I've said from the very beginning, the best teams I've ever been around are led by the locker room,” said Schottenheimer.
The Cowboys will face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
