Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington has continued to be a revelation, helping the team to a promising 4-1 start, including a three-game winning streak.

In the Jaguars' victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, 19-17, in Week 5, Washington had six receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns. It earned him huge praise from NFL legend Tom Brady.

“This guy's transformed from a fun story into an absolute dog. D-A-W-G. Everyone knows the sixth round, that's where you look when you need talent, right? Come get it,” said Brady.

Just in case it was not clear, Brady was drafted in the sixth round by the New England Patriots in 2000.

The 24-year-old Washington, who was drafted by the Jaguars in the sixth round in 2023, appreciated Brady's encouraging comment.

“I saw that. That means everything, you know, getting recognition from one of the greats. Not even one, but the best. A great quarterback,” said the fourth-year pass-catcher in the video posted by Action Sports Jax.

“That's just motivation to keep going. Even my mindset, no matter what, I just want to go out here and continue to do my best.”

Tom Brady called Parker Washington a “dawg” this week. We asked Washington what he thought about it.

When reminded about being picked in the sixth round as Brady, the former Penn State standout had to flex.

“Come on. Some special players in that round. Let's keep it going,” added Washington with a smile.

He is on pace to smash his previous numbers. In five games, he has 22 receptions for 352 yards and four touchdowns. Last season, he logged team-highs of 847 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games.

If Washington keeps it up, do not be surprised if he gets his first nod as a Pro Bowler.
