The Los Angeles Rams pulled off an incredibly important win in Week 9. LA is now over .500 on the season after their 20-13 win over Washington on Sunday. The Rams received incredible performances from their superstar on both sides of the field. That includes superstar Puka Nacua, who was the team's most productive offensive player against the Commanders.
Nacua logged his ninth career game with over 150 receiving yards on Sunday, per ESPN Insights. That breaks a tie between Nacua, Jerry Rice, and Randy Moss for the second-most by a player within their first four seasons since 1970.
The only NFL player with more 150-yard performances is Justin Jefferson, who had 11 during his first four seasons.
Puka had 14 receptions for exactly 150 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Commanders. He also added two carries for 20 rushing yards on the ground.
The defense played their part too, with Myles Garrett logging three sacks and a forced fumble in his return for LA. His impressive performance gave the Rams just enough of an edge to come out on top.
It is great that Nacua is continuing the thrive on offense even without teammate Davante Adams backing him up. Unfortunately, the Rams could be without Nacua after he picked up a new ankle injury.
Puka suffered a knee injury on LA's final offensive snap of the game. He will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the full extent of the damage. ESPN's Adam Schefter noted that LA does not believe he suffered a torn ACL. However, only the results of the MRI will reveal what's actually going on.
This is far from the first time that Nacua has landed on the injury report this season. He's already battled through groin and calf injuries, which only caused him to take a brief absence.
Hopefully Puka is able to return to the field soon as LA fights to keep their postseason hopes alive.
Next up for the Rams is a Week 10 road trip to Arizona.
