As the Miami Dolphins were hoping to bounce back after the loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8, 24-19, the team would lose their second straight game on Sunday to the Detroit Lions, 19-9. With quarterback Malik Willis leading the way for the Dolphins, he would give more insight into the injury he has been dealing with, which was evident during the loss to the Lions.

Willis would finish the game with 128 passing yards on completing 13 of 25 passes to go along with zero touchdown passes and one interception. The 27-year-old also recorded seven rushing yards, as it was clear that an injury was bothering him when he went outside the pocket or tried to improvise on a broken play.

If anybody has been paying attention to Willis' listing on the injury report, he has been dealing with a lingering groin injury, as once again, it was easy to see in Sunday's loss to the Lions. After the game, Willis said in his post-game press conference that his groin was “a little tight today,” according to Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post.

When speaking about whether he feels that the groin will be better this upcoming week and in the Week 10 contest against the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 15, his answer could be one that could concern fans.

“Lord willing,” Willis said, via Schad.

That type of answer might not sit well with fans since Willis doesn't have a certain outlook on the groin injury, as he's been dealing with it for some weeks now. At any rate, it remains to be seen how Willis progresses with the groin injury, as Miami looks to get back in the winning column next Sunday against the Colts, as the team has a 1-7 record.
