Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins did not practice on Wednesday, but he hopes to be back on the practice field later this week.

He left Sunday’s 29-26 win over the Bills with a calf injury.

Hollins played 31 of 76 snaps and made three catches for 53 yards.

“I hope so. That’s the goal,” Hollins said of returning this week, via Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald. “That’s a decision between me, and the trainers as well. That’s why we have them because I think as players we’d go out there no matter what. So yeah, if they say it’s cleared, then for sure.”

The Patriots won’t have wide receiver A.J. Brown until at least next week. He’s on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain and isn’t eligible to return until next week.

Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism and Kyle Williams are the options if Hollins also can’t play.
