The New England Patriots saw AJ Brown return to the field from an ankle injury in Week 6. He suffered an ankle sprain in the team's season-opening loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1. It has taken him a bit of time to find his footing as well.

Brown has not made a major impact across his last two games. The veteran wide receiver has six catches for 75 yards since his return. On Wednesday, he revealed that he is still trying to get up to speed a bit on the field.

“Yeah, sometimes. Sometimes I see it and sometimes I’m pushing through. But none of that stuff really matters. I’m out here,” the Patriots wide receiver said, via Mike Reiss of ESPN.

New England has split the last two contests as well. In Week 6, the team held off the New York Jets. The Jets tried to make a second-half rally in that contest. But the Patriots never relinquished control. Brown had three catches for 27 yards on 10 targets.

Last week was a different story, though. The Patriots took on the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football in Week 7. Brown was a bit more impactful, catching three passes for 48 yards. However, New England fell to Chicago on the road.

New England is now 4-3 on the season and is trying to gain ground in the AFC East. They will need Brown at his healthiest if they want to catch the 5-1 Buffalo Bills in the standings. The Patriots are in action on Sunday when they take on the Miami Dolphins.
