The Milwaukee Brewers have been celebrating their World Series championship over the past week. The team went to Thursday night's Green Bay Packers' game, they've been on various shows such as Saturday Night Live, and the Brewers participated in a World Series parade on Friday. Manager Pat Murphy reflected on the championship parade during a Tuesday appearance on MLB Network.
“It blew me away,” Murphy said. “… 700,000 people they said. They were just there to support the Brewers, and how happy, bringing everybody together. And seeing the joy that it spread what our guys did to win that championship. That just did so much for our community, for our state.
“Yeah, you felt it, you felt it at that parade. Amazing turnout.”
The championship represented the first World Series victory in Brewers' franchise history. Their only other Fall Classic appearance came in 1982, when they were defeated by the St. Louis Cardinals. Brewers fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time to say the least. The city of Milwaukee provided an energetic atmosphere during Friday's World Series parade as fans celebrated with the players.
Article Continues BelowThe Brewers' next goal will be to develop a dynasty. Milwaukee features a number of players under contract for years to come. It wouldn't be surprising to see this ball club reach the Fall Classic once again sooner rather than later. In fact, it would be surprising if they failed to seriously contend over the next few years.
For now, however, the team has earned the right to celebrate their 2026 World Series win.
