Panthers’ Bryce Young hoping his best lineman will only miss 1 game with UCL ‘tear’

The Carolina Panthers seemed to have everything go wrong during Week 3. Carolina lost to a Deshaun Watson-led Browns team and suffered a handful of important injuries. Now the Panthers may be without their best offensive lineman for at least one game.

Panthers guard Damien Lewis will be sidelined for a few weeks with a UCL tear in his elbow, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Lewis is still undergoing medical evaluations, but it is unlikely that he plays in Week 4 against the Lions.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler added that a source classifies Lewis' injury as a “tear in his elbow.” He noted that Lewis will get a second opinion on the injury.
