The Green Bay Packers are still awaiting the return of Micah Parsons to the field as he recovers from his knee injury. However, the star pass rusher is already hard at work behind the scenes to get back into the best shape possible.
Parsons' teammate, linebacker Zaire Franklin, has been able to see Parsons in action during one of his workouts, and he came away impressed.
“I can't wait to see 1 back. I snuck and watched him work out the other day. I ain't gonna lie,” Franklin said on Parsons, per Packers beat writer Matt Schneidman. “He looked good to me.”
Parsons has been out of action since suffering a torn ACL against the Denver Broncos in December. He had an immediate impact after getting traded from the Dallas Cowboys as he finished with 12.5 sacks in 14 games for Green Bay.
Despite missing Parsons, the Packers have still been quite a strong defense under first-year defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon. They have been able to get to the quarterback, recording 15 sacks this season. Lukas Van Ness has been leading the way with 3.5 sacks, while linebacker Edgerrin Cooper has three.
Meanwhile, the Packers secondary has been a takeaway machine with a league-leading nine interceptions. That includes two more picks in their dominant Sunday night win over the Dallas Cowboys.

The same goes for Parsons and the Packers defense. It will be fascinating to see how much better this unit can be when they add one of the top pass rushers in the league.
