The Green Bay Packers will host the Carolina Panthers in a pivotal NFC matchup. The Packers are currently last in the NFC North, although they boast a 4-3 record through seven games. The Panthers lead the NFC South by 0.5 games with a 3-3 record.

Both of these teams love pushing the pace, but that’s where their similarities end. Green Bay’s found some offensive success in 2026, but they rely heavily on a dominant defense. Carolina’s looked great offensively, but they feature one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

The Packers rank sixth in the league in points allowed per play (0.313) this season. That number drops to only 0.270 at home, where they’ve recently held the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys to a combined 20 points.

Green Bay continues to struggle with their offensive line and running game, but they look more competent in recent weeks. They rank 25th in the NFL in points per play (0.336) on te season, but that number jumps to 0.366 over their last three games.

The Panthers are moving in the wrong direction, with their points per play dropping 0.052 over their last three games. They’re also averaging only 0.370 points per play on the road, which is drastically lower than their 0.436 home average.

Carolina currently ranks 26th in the NFL in points allowed per play (0.427), and it’s been worse in recent weeks. They’re struggling to find success without their two starting cornerbacks, and they could also be without Jaelan Phillips and Akayleb Evans this week.

The Packers also have their fair share of injuries. Zaire Franklin won’t play, while Travis Glover and Sean Rhyan haven’t practiced along the offensive line. Matthew Golden also hasn’t practiced yet this week, and he’ll be a name to monitor.

We’ve seen Green Bay consistent underrated since their early season struggles. Their offensive line has started putting better games together, and Jordan Love has proven to be a star in this league.

The major issue here is their kicker, who cost them a potential win against the Detroit Lions last week. I’d prefer to grab this under a three-point spread as a parlay piece, but I also believe you can go -3.5 if you want roughly even odds.
