The Green Bay Packers went down 20-17 to the Detroit Lions in Week 7 on a last-second field goal. The 17 points were tied for the second-fewest points the Packers have scored this season.

During his post-game presser, Packers quarterback Jordan Love had a blunt assessment of his offense's performance.

“Taking today into consideration, not good enough. I still think there's so much more out there for us as a football team in every area. Just looking at the offense, we've made some strides, and there's still a lot of plays out there that we can really be dominant. But we've got to be able to come out here and finish these drives, put up points and just execute at a higher level.”

Love finished with similar numbers to the ones he had in the Packers' convincing 23-13 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night last week. He completed 27 of his 45 passes against the Lions for 274 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. That pick came at the start of the fourth quarter.

It also didn't help the Packers offense's cause that rookie kicker Trey Smack left some points on the field. Smack missed two field goals: the first came during the opening drive, while a potential go-ahead FG in the fourth quarter was blocked.

On the bright side for the Packers, star running back Josh Jacobs finally made his long-awaited return. He finished with 36 yards on 11 carries. His return to the lineup could provide a huge boost to the Packers' offense during the second half of the season.
