The Green Bay Packers have played solid football to start the year, and they've been doing so without Micah Parsons. The edge rusher is still working to get back on the field as he recovers from a torn ACL he suffered last year, and there is an assumption that he may be close.

At the same time, it looks like Parsons and the Packers want to take things slow, and that's making fans impatient. For those fans, Parsons explained why he hasn't returned from injury, and he noted that there are a lot of things that have to go right before he feels like he can play.

“The biggest thing that people worried about with me, they're like, ‘Man, why ain't he back yet?' If the Super Bowl was this week, I'm playing in the Super Bowl,” Parsons said. “But it's just about me making sure I have all the small things fixed first. What a lot of people don't figure out is it's not just the ACL. It's like, why did the ACL happen? What was weak? Because it all works together. It's a chain. And throughout the history of ACL, they notice if you come back early, there tends to be an overcompensation injury on the other side … we just gon' make sure everything is right before. Because everyone knows, it's like, what's the point of getting me back for four weeks and then next thing you know, my groin bothering me.”

With Parsons saying that he could play in the Super Bowl, that says a lot about where he is in his rehab. If anything, it looks like he could be back sooner rather than later.

The team is definitely missing him on his defense, and when he gets back, he'll make a big difference.
