The Green Bay Packers will face their most hated rival during Week 5. Green Bay is gearing up to host Chicago on Sunday in a game will have massive ramifications in the NFC North. The Packers are not going to underestimate their rival, even if they are missing their franchise quarterback.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur spoke very highly of Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent ahead of Week 5.

“I know he's their backup, but he could start for many teams in the league,” LaFleur said about Bagent on Wednesday, per Packers writer Weston Hodkiewicz.

Caleb Williams has not played for the Bears for multiple games after suffering a hamstring injury back in Week 3. Last week, the Bears kept their quarterback decision between Bagent and veteran Case Keenum a secret until game day. But this time, head coach Ben Johnson declared that Williams will not play and Bagent will start against the Packers.

Bagent has not had many opportunities to showcase his talents on the field during the Johnson era. But he looked solid when coming in for Williams back in Week 3. The 26-year-old quarterback went 25-of-34 for 268 passing yards with an interception in that contest.

It is smart for LaFleur and the Packers not to underestimate Bagent and the Bears. Johnson is one of the best offensive minds in the game and will certainly have a good game plan cooked up for his division rivals. Green Bay needs to be ready for anything Chicago might throw their way.

The Packers are also looking vulnerable on the defensive side of the ball. Edgerrin Cooper is out for the season, creating a significant hole in the middle of their defense. Veterans Zaire Franklin and Isaiah McDuffie are solid starters, but now depth could become a real problem.

It will be fascinating to see how Green Bay attacks Bagent and the Chicago offense this weekend.

Packers vs. Bears kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on Oct. 11 from Lambeau Field.
