The Dallas Cowboys have yet to see the best of Joey Porter Jr. after trading for the cornerback a few weeks ago. After his debut against the Houston Texans, he missed their 24-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an illness.

And in the build-up to their Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers, Porter has been listed as questionable due to an ankle injury. But despite those setbacks, Porter Jr. looks like he's going to be good to go against the Green Bay Packers.

“Cowboys corner Joey Porter Jr. (questionable, ankle) is expected to play today vs Green Bay, per source,” ESPN Jeremy Fowler posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Having Porter Jr. back will be big for the Dallas pass defense as it takes on a suddenly in-form Packers passing attack led by quarterback Jordan Love. After some early-season struggles, Love has regained his accuracy, completing over 70 percent of his passes in each of the last two games. He completed 80 percent of his throws as he went for 367 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-7 win against the Chicago Bears.

Christian Watson went off for 143 yards on six catches with two touchdowns in that game, his second such game of the season. Speedster Matthew Golden also had 123 yards as he is growing into a more reliable receiving threat in his second yet. Porter Jr. will likely spend most of the game against one of those two Packers receivers and will be tasked with preventing either from popping up with another big performance against the Cowboys.
