The Green Bay Packers pulled off one roster move Monday. But they're not moving running back Josh Jacobs despite his name being linked to trade rumors. Instead, coach Matt LaFleur and company are bringing in former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Cam Miller

The past NFL Draft pick for the Raiders is heading to Lambeau Field, per ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler on Monday. Miller once landed in Sin City before the franchise took in Fernando Mendoza via the 2026 NFL Draft.

So Miller earns the distinction of the becoming the first and only QB selection of the truncated Pete Carroll tenure. Miller's draft move also became facilitated by co-minority owner Tom Brady.

Miller landed in the sixth round and the 215th pick of that same class that featured top pick at running back Ashton Jeanty. Vegas took in a highly decorated Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) passer from North Dakota State. Including winning two national title rings in the 2021 and 2024 season. But he never saw snaps during the the regular season.

That's because the franchise waived him during the Aug. 2025 roster cuts. Vegas never brought him back as a practice squad member either. Miller managed to find his way to the Miami Dolphins on Jan. 1, 2026. But became a roster cut on Aug. 30.

Now he's joining the likes of LaFleur, quarterback Jordan Love and the rest of the Packers. Green Bay is fresh off beating the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football, making the Packers 5-3 overall but still in fourth place of the NFC North standings.
