After spending the entirety of last season recovering from a devastating torn right Achilles tendon, Tyrese Haliburton is back, and he is cutting through the rumor mill himself.
Speaking to reporters at Indiana Pacers Media Day on Monday, the two-time All-Star point guard emphatically put an end to any lingering speculation regarding his health heading into the 2026-27 NBA season.
“I am healthy, I’m 100%,” Haliburton stated with a smile. “There will be no restrictions. That is not news. There is no source. I’m the source.”
Haliburton’s definitive declaration comes after he missed the entire 2025-26 campaign while rehabbing a torn right Achilles tendon suffered during Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The injury occurred during the Pacers’ championship series against Oklahoma City, forcing Haliburton to miss the following season. His recovery was later complicated by a bout with shingles, adding a setback to his rehabilitation process.
Now, Haliburton says there are no lingering restrictions heading into training camp. His return gives Indiana its All-Star point guard back as the Pacers prepare for the 2026-27 season.
