The Indiana Pacers have gotten off to a mixed start to the 2026-27 NBA season, opening with a 2-2 record. Pascal Siakam, however, has continued to play at an All-Star level and is currently averaging 23.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and four assists per game.
His form off the court appears to be just as sublime, as Siakam was seen pulling off a hilarious Halloween gag during a recent press conference, for which he dressed up as head coach Rick Carlisle, per a post on X by SleeperPacers. Siakam was seen recreating an iconic Carlisle conference during which the HC had taped up his mouth when asked about the state of refereeing in a playoff game from April 2015, when he used to coach the Dallas Mavericks.

“Are you asking me a question about the officiating?” Siakam said. “I brought this just for that.”
The 32-year-old then proceeded to tape up his mouth in exactly the manner Carlisle did. Siakam not only recreated his current HC’s exact look and suit, he also wore a hilarious bald cap and even tried to recreate his expressions.
The original conference took place in April 2015, when his then-team, the Dallas Mavericks, avoided a series sweep by winning Game 4 against the Houston Rockets. Carlisle had responded with the exact same words when the reporters asked him about the ‘officiating’ post-game.
Article Continues BelowThe then-Mavericks boss had initially questioned the state of the refereeing after Game 3. He was particularly displeased with the officiating surrounding Dwight Howard, and the outburst had resulted in a $25,000 fine. As a result, he came prepared despite having similar problems with the officiating in Game 4, but ended up avoiding another fine after taping up his mouth.
Of course, Carlisle now leads the Pacers, who are looking to return to playoff consideration after a difficult season last time around in the absence of the injured Tyrese Haliburton.
