The Indiana Pacers could receive a much-needed boost as they look to end their losing streak. Center Ivica Zubac has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's road matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, putting him closer to a possible return after missing five straight games.
Zubac remains questionable for Wednesday’s game, according to the NBA’s latest injury report, but his upgraded status gives Indiana hope of ending its five-game losing streak. His improved status offers some encouragement for a Pacers team that has struggled to stay healthy early in the season.
Zubac has appeared in only three games, averaging 9.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks while shooting 60% from the field. The veteran center recorded 16 points and 15 rebounds in his season debut against New Orleans before posting nine points and 11 boards against Dallas. He managed just seven minutes against Brooklyn before exiting with the ankle injury.
With Zubac sidelined, head coach Rick Carlisle has relied more on Jay Huff and Larry Nance Jr. to handle frontcourt duties. Huff has stepped up, recently recording a season-high 22 points and eight rebounds against Atlanta. However, Indiana has still missed Zubac's size, physical presence, and rebounding, making his potential return a welcome boost.

Zubac's availability remains uncertain, but his upgrade gives the Pacers hope of getting their starting center back as they look to snap their five-game skid.
