Dan Lanning was blunt about the need to consider all options on the table following Dylan Raiola's brutal showing in the Oregon Ducks' 17-15 loss to the No. 12 UCLA Bruins on Saturday afternoon.
Lanning has been the Ducks' head coach since 2022, shining as one of the top coaches in the country. Enjoying his best campaign in 2025 with Oregon making the semifinals of the College Football Playoff, he looked to help the program take the next step.
However, injuries and inconsistent play have impacted their trajectory. Dante Moore suffered an injury in the early games as Raiola took over the starting spot. However, he heavily struggled against UCLA's secondary. He only completed six out of 19 passes for 43 yards, throwing two interceptions as Oregon couldn't get anything going offensively.
Article Continues BelowLanning reflected on the loss after the game, per reporter Breanna Greene. When a reporter asked him about offensive play calling this game and if there could be a change, the head coach was clear about his mind being open to all solutions.
“You have to evaluate all options,” Lanning said.
