The Browns have their first lead of Sunday’s game at MetLife Stadium.

After a pass interference penalty on Jets cornerback Brandon Stephens on a third down kept Cleveland’s drive alive, quarterback Deshaun Watson arced a 29-yard pass to rookie wide receiver Denzel Boston in the end zone. The touchdown made it 12-10 Browns, but Andre Szymt missed the extra point so it remains a two-point game with under five minutes to play.

That’s the bad news for the Browns, but the good news was that Carson Schwesinger forced a Geno Smith fumble on a sack on the next Jets possession and the Browns recovered.

It’s the third touchdown of the season for Boston. The Browns’ other rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion was knocked out with a head injury in the first quarter.
