The big guns led the way for the Edmonton Oilers once again Wednesday night, with Evan Bouchard, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl combining for 10 points in a 5-2 comeback victory over the divisional rival Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center.
Bouchard recorded two goals and an assist, McDavid added a goal and two helpers, and Draisaitl collected four assists — all in the second period — as the Oilers won their third consecutive game to improve to 3-0-1 in 2026-27.
“That's a good team over there, let's not get ahead of ourselves here,” Draisaitl told reporters afterwards, per NHL.com's Dan Arritt. “But, when you feel that you don't have your legs, you feel like you're getting pushed into your own end by their speed a little bit — and we're all men, we all want to be better, we want to be at our best — and I thought we pushed back hard and we did it the right way.”
The Oilers trailed 2-0 after a pair of Beckett Sennecke power-play tallies in the opening frame, but Devon Levi shut the door the rest of the way, finishing with 29 saves on 31 shots.
“They were a little quicker to pucks in the first period,” Draisaitl added. “I felt like they had their legs going right away and we were kind of searching for them early on. Those little one-on-ones around the wall, we kept losing them.”
It was a tough first period, but Edmonton responded with a dominant second, scoring all five of its goals to take control.

Following a disappointing 6-5 overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks on opening night, Edmonton hasn't lost since. The Oilers will look to keep that momentum rolling as their California road trip continues.
Edmonton heads to San Jose to play the Sharks on Saturday afternoon before finishing the trip against the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night.
