While Toronto Raptors veteran Kawhi Leonard reflected on his past, he couldn't escape the moment his iconic laugh went viral during Media Day in 2018. Eight years removed from the iconic laugh after telling a room full of reporters that he's a “fun guy” despite his stoic demeanor, Leonard addressed the moment at this year's Media Day.

On the cusp of Leonard's return season with the Raptors, he reflected on the viral moment, per The Athletic's Esfandiar Baraheni.

“Whatevers making people happy. I guess. If I can make people laugh with my laugh, then I'm good,” Leonard said. “We were thinking of making a show about who can have the funniest laugh.”

Although it's been eight years since Leonard's funny moment, he reassured Raptors media members that he's still a fun guy to this day.

"Welcome back. Hope you're still a fun guy."

Kawhi Leonard: "For sure. For sure." 😂

Kawhi Leonard reveals why he left the Raptors for the Clippers

Ahead of his first season back, Kawhi Leonard discussed why he left the Raptors for the Clippers in 2019. For Leonard, being close to his family played a significant role in his decision to join the Clippers after leading the Raptors to their first championship in franchise history.

Leonard joined the Clippers to be closer to his family.

“I don't go back and think about it too much. The next year was COVID. I kind of made my decision to go to LA based on my family,” Leonard said. “Had a lot of older people in my family that I had the time to spend with before they passed away. That was all great for me. Being able to spend time with that family was great. I don't think about it too much.”

Leonard and the Clippers will face the Heat in a preseason game on Saturday.
