Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys β NFL Week 5 Results According to Madden 27
| Team | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| TB | 3 | 7 | 0 | 10 | 20 |
| DAL | 10 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 31 |
The Cowboys go above .500 and begin their first win streak of the year with a win over the Buccaneers.
Overall, the game was fairly close at first, with Bucs' QB Jalon Daniels starting off strong. He completed eight of his first nine passes, but went on to go 11 for 21 on the rest of his attempts.
However, the Cowboys never let the Buccaneers earn a lead in this game. Although they were tied 10-10 in the second quarter, CeeDee Lamb tied things up with a 22-yard TD reception during the two minute warning.
Javonte Williams extended the lead again with another touchdown in the third quarter, and Dallas found themselves up 24-10 by the start of the fourth. Jalon Daniels rushed for a TD to make it a one-score game again, but Williams broke off for a 49-yard TD run to extend Dallas' lead once again.
Down 31-17 with just over 10 minutes to go, the Buccaneers opted to go for a field goal instead of going for it on 4th & 11 at the DAL 35. We're not sure why they did this, as it was still a two-possession game. Regardless, they failed to score again for the rest of the game as Dallas climbed to 3-2.
Philadelphia Eagles at Jacksonville Jaguars β NFL Week 5 Results According to Madden 27
| Team | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| PHI | 7 | 0 | 7 | 3 | 17 |
| JAX | 6 | 10 | 3 | 10 | 29 |
Despite leading early in this one, the injured Philadelphia Eagles lost their third match in a row to the surging Jaguars.
The Jaguars got off to a slow start, but two field goal drives kept it close in the first quarter. After Will Shipley's TD run on the team's opening drive, the Eagles allowed the Jaguars to score 19 unanswered points before they could get another touchdown on the board. However, they still only trailed 19-14.
Both teams traded a FG, with the Jaguars leading 22-17 with about seven minutes left to go. The Eagles were driving down the field until Josh Hines-Allen sacked Jalen Hurts, forcing him to fumble the ball. Travon Walker recovered the fumble and returned it for a big touchdown. Philadelphia was unable to recover and ultimately lost the game.
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers β NFL Week 5 Results According to Madden 27
| Team | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| CHI | 3 | 0 | 3 | 7 | 13 |
| GB | 7 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 16 |
The Packers end the Bears two-game win streak and stay competitive in the NFC North with a close victory.
Despite Tyson Bagent playing well in Week 4, he only has a 59 OVR rating in Madden, which obviously showed in the sim. He completed 20 of 40 pass attempts for just 202 yards, one touchdown, and an interception. Furthermore, Chicago's run game was ineffective, earning just 79 yards on 29 rushing attempts.
Green Bay didn't play much better. After Jordan Love threw a touchdown pass to Tucker Kraft on the opening drive, their offense was unable to find the end zone for the rest of the day. Instead, the team relied on K Trey Smack, who converted 3 of 4 field goal attempts, including the game winner in the fourth quarter.

The Houston Texans finally earn their first win of the year while the Titans remain winless.
Overall, this game was fairly straightforward, with the Texans taking a big 24-0 lead before the Titans could even get points on the board. By the time the Titans were able to score, it was too little, too late. Their only touchdown came with just 4:59 to go in the game when Cam Ward found Chimere Dike in the end zone.

The Dolphins' offense played well on their first drive, but weren't able to replicate that success until the fourth quarter. Malik Willis eventually got a garbage time touchdown with 2:33 to go. But Miami remains winless after five weeks.

However, Kirk Cousins helped the Raiders retake the lead with a touchdown pass to Malik Benson with roughly eight minutes left to go. Both teams punted the ball back and forth until the two minute warning.

The Vikings' offense continues to struggle, but it doesn't matter as they jump to 5-0 on the season.
Minnesota's defense was phenomenal, earning four sacks, forcing three turnovers, and holding the Saints to just 242 total yards. New Orleans had one good drive thanks to a strong punt return from Barion Brown, as well as a 25-yard catch from Juwan Johnson. But outside of that, and one FG drive, their offense failed to get anything going.
However, the Saints managed to have a 10-9 lead early in the third quarter before allowing the Vikings to score six unanswered points. In the end, the Saints dropped to 1-4 on the season, hurting their chances of winning the NFC South.

The Pittsburgh Steelers win a very close game against the Colts in what was probably the most exciting sim of the week.
Both offenses played at a high level in the first half. The Colts relied on Jonathan Taylor, who scored three rushing touchdowns in the win. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers enjoyed one of his best performances yet with four touchdown passes in the win.
The Colts had a 27-17 lead entering the final 11 minutes of the game. But Rodgers found DK Metcalf for a huge touchdown pass, making it a one-possession game again. While the Colts' offense managed to waste time on their next drive, they could only come up with a FG to make it 30-24.

Down 24-16, the Giants were unable to do anything until the two minute warning. Jameis Winston finally led the G-Men down the field and threw a TD pass to Isaiah Likely. However, Winston threw an incomplete pass to Theo Johnson on the two-point attempt, giving Washington the opportunity to end and prevent a trip to Overtime.

Overall, the Broncos' D ended up forcing Justin Herbert to throw two interceptions in the loss, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Alex Singleton. The offense played okay, but needed to resort to four field goals on five red zone attempts in the win.
L.A.'s offense fared much worse, not able to score a single touchdown until the fourth quarter. Nevertheless, they managed to keep things somewhat close in the end. Herbert connected with Quentin Johnston for a late TD pass to make it a one-possession game again. However, they failed to score again on their next two offensive attempts.

Jahmyr Gibbs eventually earned his first score of the day on a 13-yard TD run in the fourth quarter. Interestingly, the Lions opted not go for two, instead getting the extra point to make it 34-21.

Tyler Huntley actually played well as he stepped in for Lamar Jackson, throwing for 223 yards and two touchdowns, but he did throw an interception at the Ravens' 25-yard line, which swiftly led to a Falcons' touchdown.
Overall, the Falcons managed to score 30 points in the first three quarters, taking a 30-17 lead with only 15 minutes left. The Rams won the first half thanks to a Kyren Williams TD run that gave them a 21-17 lead. But Josh Allen and the Bills kept things close, never letting L.A. take a two-possession lead.
By the start of the fourth quarter, the Rams had a 28-24 lead. Allen ran in for a score, giving Buffalo their second lead of the night. But Stafford found Davante Adams for a huge, 63-yard TD pass on the next drive, taking that lead right back.

With over a minute to go, the Rams only needed a FG to send things to OT. However, Buffalo's defense finally got their act together, forcing Stafford to throw an incomplete pass on fourth down, giving the Bills the win.
