The Indianapolis Colts could receive a second-round draft pick and additional compensation in a potential Jonathan Taylor trade as the organization continues entertaining offers for its star running back ahead of the NFL's Nov. 10 trade deadline.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler revealed Saturday morning on SportsCenter that Indianapolis has received significant interest in Taylor, with several teams potentially looking to acquire the former All-Pro.

“There’s interest in Jonathan Taylor, it’s heavy and it’s real and so the Colts are entertaining it. It’s a situation where teams I talked to were a little skeptical a few days ago because he’s a boon for the future coaching staff in 2027 whether it’s head coach Shane Steichen or somebody else. But the interest there are just so many teams that need running back help around the league – the Seahawks, the Packers, the Giants, the Broncos, the Vikings, you could name it.”

Fowler also outlined the potential compensation Indianapolis could receive if the organization decides to move Taylor.

“Teams that I’ve talked to believe he’s worth a second round pick and more. So, if you can get a package of a second and a third rounder let’s say… this is a team that’s trying to replenish their draft capital.”

However, the Colts have already rejected an offer involving a second-round selection and additional compensation, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.

“The Colts already turned down a 2027 second-round draft pick plus an additional pick for RB Jonathan Taylor, making clear they’d want a premium to trade the face of the franchise.”

The development follows Indianapolis' decision to trade All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers earlier this week.

Jonathan Taylor expected to play against Jaguars despite trade rumors

Those moves have raised questions about whether Taylor could become the next established veteran to leave Indianapolis as the organization attempts to accumulate future draft capital.

Despite growing speculation surrounding Taylor's future, Indianapolis has not committed to trading its star running back.

Pelissero emphasized Saturday that the Colts remain willing to retain Taylor unless another organization presents a sufficiently attractive offer.

“The Colts' position on Jonathan Taylor hasn't changed: No player is off-limits in trade talks, but they'd want a lot to move their star RB. For now, he's a Colt and expected to play Sunday against the Jaguars.”

ESPN Colts reporter Stephen Holder also confirmed that Taylor remains on track to play Sunday, with no trade agreement currently imminent.

“As of now, Jonathan Taylor IS playing tomorrow. No deal is imminent, and I imagine they want to send the message that they are willing to keep him (which I do believe is true),” Holder wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Colts (2-5) will visit the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS, with Taylor potentially playing one of his final games for Indianapolis if trade negotiations progress before the deadline.
