The Philadelphia Eagles will be a fascinating team to watch at the NFL trade deadline. Philly is 2-6 on the season and does not have Jalen Hurts because of his blood clot revelation. One Eagles player could determine how the team behaves at the deadline next week.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano shared some intel from around the the league on Wednesday before the deadline.
Fowler explained that Jacksonville could get aggressive when it comes to acquiring defensive line help. He named Moro Ojomo as one player they could make an offer on.
“This could be for edge or interior help, in part because the Jaguars have versatile players such as Travon Walker who can play multiple spots up front,” Fowler wrote. “Eagles defensive tackle Moro Ojomo is a person of interest here, though Philly is inclined to keep and potentially extend him.”
Ojomo has played well over the past few seasons, though he isn't blowing up the box score in 2026. He only has 21 total tackles in eight games played this season. However, he did manage six sacks and a pass defensed in 2025.
Fowler believes that how Philly approaches the Ojomo situation could be telling of their overall trade deadline philosophy.
“Ojomo will be a test of the Eagles' transitional state,” Fowler added. “There's real interest in him (from Jacksonville and others). Whether Philly acts on that interest will tell a lot.”
Holding onto Ojomo may not be easy.
The Eagles have already invested heavily in their defensive tackle room. In fact, both Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter signed huge contract extensions this offseason. So it is fair to question whether or not Philly will want to devote resources to Ojomo moving forward.
Either way, Philly is not going to go full fire sale next week. The Eagle already declared that Saquon Barkley won't be traded this year. But other players like Ojomo could still be moved.
In the meantime, the Eagles are preparing for an NFC East shodown in Week 9.
Eagles vs. Giants kicks off at 1 p.m ET on Nov 8 from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
