David Fucillo makes picks for all 15 NFL games with levels of confidence ahead of Week 9.
The NFL regular season is rapidly moving along and we’re just about halfway through. Some teams have reached their halfway point, others will get their this week, but by the close of Monday, the league will be halfway through the 18-week schedule.
The league officially has no more undefeated teams after the Vikings lost to the Lions in Week 8. Given the Bears impressive win in Seattle on Monday, Chicago looks more and more like the team to beat in the NFC North. On the AFC side of things, the Bills and Jaguars are looking particularly impressive, while the Steelers continue chugging along with a win over the Browns to take over first place in the AFC South.
Week 9 brings some matchups with interesting matchups, but few that have huge playoff implications. The best matchup of the week is probably Bills-Vikings on Monday. Both teams want the win, but it has limited impact on things like tiebreakers. The same holds true for Packers-Patriots on Sunday.
I’m back for another week of picks and have inched up from my .500 ways. This week I was 8-6 going 2-0 on high confidence picks, 6-4 on medium level picks, and 0-2 on low confidence picks.
Just a reminder that I pick games straight up with winners and losers, but I also provide a confidence level. I’ll pick each game’s winner and slot the picks based on confidence levels — high, medium, low, and no. A game with three asterisks (***) after it indicates a game where I’m picking the betting underdog to get the win. Whether you have to assign confidence points or not, this will help you know where I’m standing with the picks. And within each group, I’ve ordered them based on confidence within the confidence level.
