While many fans don't enjoy seeing Taylor Swift at Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs games, NFL legend Emmitt Smith has no problem with it.
Speaking to Variety after Dancing with the Stars' Super Bowl-themed episode, Smith couldn't fathom how Swift's effect on the NFL is “controversial.” He doesn't believe she cares about the media scrutiny that comes with her relationship with Kelce. The networks do, though.
“Why would it be a controversial matter?” he asked. She’s there to support her husband and she doesn’t care about all this other stuff, but the networks do. The networks are exposing everything because of who she is.
“She’s not looking for the d**n camera! She’s trying to be Taylor Swift, wife to Travis Kelce, and is trying to enjoy life. She’s not going, “Put me on the camera! I’m here!” Most stars aren’t even like that,” he continued.
At the end of the day, Swift is just doing what any supportive wife would do: show up for her partner. The only way he sees the talk surrounding her dying down is by not going to games, but he can't understand doing that either.
“The only thing she can do is not show up at the games, and who wants to do that? She’s just trying to be herself. That’s what losing your anonymity truly means — people follow you,” Smith concluded.

Swift's presence has brought even more attention to the Chiefs over the last few years. She was last seen at their first two home games against the Denver Broncos and the Indianapolis Colts. We'll see if she makes it to Arrowhead for the Chiefs' Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
