Sacramento Kings guard Ben Simmons has said all the right things ahead of his comeback season. Simmons signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Kings, stressing that he feels great despite being away from basketball for over a year.

While the two-way guard has a lot of catching up to do, the Kings could definitely use him. A change of scenery could help Simmons regain his confidence.

ESPN's Marc Spears reported that the 30-year-old Simmons had an “outstanding camp,” adding that the former No. 1 pick looked like he was in his prime form with the Philadelphia 76ers. Spears noted that Simmons could earn a starting spot with the Kings.

Marc Spears on Ben Simmons:

"I've heard he's had an outstanding camp. I wouldn't be surprised from what I'm hearing within a month in, he's starting. I think he's doing that well, but the Kings are going slow with him. He looks like he's playing with the Sixers again" pic.twitter.com/1h80sbTX74

Spears stressed that Sacramento is being extra cautious with Simmons. However, while the veteran journalist has been bullish on the three-time All-Star, fans remain unconvinced.

“Y'all been hyping him up for years, and he's cap every time. This MF still gonna have no jump shot and be scared to go up with layups so he doesn't have to shoot free throws,” claimed @AidanLaPorta69.

“Here we go again!” added @WalserTweets.

“Yeah, bro, we're not falling for that,” wrote @Lebronin1.
