Myles Garrett is playing in just his second career game with the Los Angeles Rams after missing the past seven games due to a left knee injury. However, in his first game back in action since the club's season opener, Garrett finally recorded his first sack as a Ram after bringing down Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels on Sunday.
It was a brilliant play by the 30-year-old edge rusher. Not only did he sack Daniels, but Garrett also managed to knock the ball loose, resulting in a fumble. The fumble was picked up by teammate Omar Speights, giving the Rams' offense excellent field position on the next drive.
The Week 9 matchup against the Commanders is also the first game Garrett is finally recording any stats in general, as he was ineffective in the 27-7 Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Australia. But now that he's back on the field and healthy, the Rams are hopeful the five-time First-Team All-Pro can play at his superstar level for the rest of the campaign.
While it's been a frustrating season so far for the Rams, the club entered Week 9 with a 4-4 record. Los Angeles is still firmly in the mix for the playoffs and has a real chance at turning things around in the second half of the season. Especially now with the two-time Defensive Player of the Year back on the defensive line alongside Aaron Donald.
