Myles Garrett was held without a pressure in the Los Angeles Rams’ Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and after the game the Defensive Player of the Year conceded that he was not 100%.

Now we have a clearer understanding of why.

According to Tom Pelissero of The Ringer, Garrett will undergo arthroscopic surgery on the ailing knee. Pelissero added that Garrett “has been dealing with lower-leg pain and wasn’t himself in Thursday’s opener.”

The hope is that Garrett would be back with the Rams in four weeks:

Those will not be easy games for Los Angeles. In addition to returning to the United States after traveling to Australia, the Rams face the New York Giants, the Denver Broncos, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Buffalo Bills over the next four games. Those four offenses could present some problems for the Rams without Garrett.

Of course, Los Angeles might get help in the form of Aaron Donald during this stretch.
