The MLB schedule is a busy one today, with 15 games set to take place starting as early as 1 p.m. EST (White Sox vs. Guardians) with the final game (Marlins vs. Diamondbacks) getting underway at 9:40 p.m. EST.

I’m here to help you sort through them to find the MLB Best Bets of the day.

Here are my top picks:

Detroit Tigers vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Tigers +103 (DraftKings)

Keider Montero has decent on the road (4-4, 3.75 ERA, .185 OBA) while Max Scherzer has largely struggled at home (2-7, 6.75 ERA, .241). Detroit has been hitting .286 this last week and drove in 48 runs (six games). Toronto hasn’t been bad at the plate (.255, 25 runs), just not as good.

Detroit has clobbered them the last two nights, winning 6-5 and 10-1. If recent performances mean anything, the Tigers should easily take this one. Don’t expect a bloodbath but expect Detroit to win.

Our Current Best Offers

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Cincinnati Reds

Dodgers -1.5 at -126 (DraftKings)

Blake Snell is one of the better pitchers in baseball (4-1, 1.91 ERA, 1.09 WHIP) and he has recorded wins in four of his last five starts. He has not allowed more than one earned run since allowing four in his first start off the IL. A Reds lineup hitting .191 over the last week is in for a long day against him.

Andrew Abbott may see some success against a Dodgers lineup that has not been hitting too well (.235 BA over the last week). But even if he does, he will not get enough support from his lineup to have a remote shot at keeping this one close.

Our Current Best Offers

Miami Marlins vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Marlins ML at +111

Ryan Gusto (Miami) is 0-2 on the road with a 4.45 ERA and a .277 OBA. Merrill Kelly (Arizona) is 4-5 at home with a 5.83 ERA and a .279 OBA. Guston pitched four shutout innings earlier in the season vs. Arizona, a game the Marlins won 8-0. Kelly pitched six solid innings against Miami earlier in the year, but with no run support Arizona lost 2-0.

Arizona has a slightly better bullpen with a 3.95 ERA compared to 4.06 for the Marlins. Both have been hitting well over the last week, but Miami has been better (.286 with 37 runs scored in six games compared to .272 and 29 runs).

The line doesn’t suggest a blowout, but it does make Arizona a solid favorite. I see this game as being a 50/50 contest that could go either way, which makes the Marlins moneyline a solid value play.
