The Seattle Seahawks are looking vulnerable following last season's Super Bowl run. Seattle is 3-3 on the season after losing to Denver on Thursday Night Football. Now the Seahawks must face their former Super Bowl MVP during their upcoming matchup on Sunday Night Football.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald explained that he has nothing but love for Kenneth Walker III during a recent interview.

“I'll just say, I love Ken. I thoroughly enjoyed him being on our football team. We've had some great one-on-one conversations. I thought we had a great relationship. I respect teh heck out of him,” Macdonald said on Wednesday, per ESPN's Brady Henderson. “I'm happy for him. Obviously, we have to do a great job of stopping him this week. But I think there's mixed emotions in terms of, you're happy for him, but also, we're trying to figure out ways to stop this guy too because he's playing at a really high level.”

Walker was obviously a huge part of Seattle's Super Bowl run in 2025. But the veteran running back left Seattle and signed with Kansas City during free agency this spring. Now the Chiefs roll in for a huge primetime game that will pit Walker against his former team.

Seattle's defense has not played at the same elite level it did last season. However, they are still quite good at stopping the run. The Seahawks only allowed 96 rushing yards per game so far this season, which ranks 10th in the NFL. They will face the ultimate test against Walker, who has rushed for over 100 yards in all but one game since joining the Chiefs.

If Seattle sells out to stop Walker, they could leave Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce open to make big plays instead. Therefore, it is crucial that Seattle cooks up a solid game plan this week as they look to get back in the win column.

Seahawks vs. Chiefs kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET on Oct. 25 from Lumen Field in Seattle.
