The Indianapolis Colts are hanging around in their Week 4 matchup in London. Indy is up 10-6 on Washington at the half after Jonathan Taylor scored the only touchdown of the first half. But will he get fined for his celebration after scoring that consequential touchdown?
NFL insider Mike Garafolo demanded that Taylor should not get fined for his celebration following the touchdown.
“Pinky up. Definitely tea. Don’t fine the man,” Garafolo wrote.
Taylor immediately sat down and appeared to drink from a cup of tea as his celebration. That makes a lot of sense playing in front of an international crowd in London. But that does not mean the NFL will see it that way.
Garafolo is referencing 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who was fined after Week 3 for one of his celebrations against the Dolphins. Juszczyk performed his signature celebration, pretending to down an invisible beverage. He has long been known as “Juice” which explains why he is drinking in that celebration.
However, the NFL fined Juszczyk and claimed the celebration constituted an “offensive demonstration” similar to chugging a beer. The league found the celebration to be “in poor taste” according to Juszczyk's official fine letter.

The Colts did not play well for most of the first half against the Commanders. QB Daniel Jones had a hilarious fumble on the first drive of the game, resulting in a field goal for Washington. Indy failed to get their offense on track until Taylor scored with roughly three minutes left in the half.
After that drive, the Colts forced a stop and were able to kick a field goal just before halftime.
It will be exciting to see if the Colts can carry that momentum over into the second half.
