The No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes suffered a tough 24-23 Week 2 loss to the No. 4 Texas Longhorns after allowing 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. It was an embarrassing outcome for Ryan Day and his program, as they had full control of the contest throughout. Of course, Michigan Wolverines superfan Dave Portnoy took the opportunity to poke fun at his favorite team's biggest rival.

Portnoy was in disbelief that the Buckeyes managed to give up their 20-point lead in the final quarter. He shared his surprise with everyone on X by using 38 emojis. The 49-year-old entrepreneur and sports personality shared his post with 31 laughing-crying emojis and seven skull-and-bones emojis.

“Imagine choking away a 20pt lead in the 4th quarter,” Portnoy said with 23 laughing-crying emojis.

“Couldn't be me,” Portnoy followed up with eight laughing-crying emojis and seven skull-and-bones emojis.

It's no secret that Michigan and Ohio State are huge rivals. So, it can't be that surprising that Dave Portnoy found the Buckeyes' fourth-quarter collapse so funny. Other Wolverines fans are likely joining in with him.

Ohio State looked great in the first two quarters against Texas. It was a one-sided affair, as the Buckeyes outscored the Longhorns 20-3 in the first half. Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith had his usual brilliant performance, finishing the game with eight receptions for 164 yards and a touchdown.

But the team lost control in the second half. The offense couldn't run the ball effectively, as Bo Jackson led the team with 74 yards off 19 carries, giving him a 3.9-yard-per-attempt average. Ohio State was held to just 94 rushing yards throughout the entire game.

It certainly didn't help that Ohio State's Connor Hawkins missed a field goal late in the fourth quarter that would have forced Texas to go for the touchdown instead of the field goal to win.

The Buckeyes will have a get-right game in Week 3, as Ohio State is scheduled to take on Kent State at home. The program won't face off against another ranked opponent until Week 5 when they face off against the No. 21 Iowa Hawkeyes.
