Miami quarterback Darian Mensah is already giving Hurricanes fans plenty of moments to remember, thanks to both his skills and his personality.

Mensah recently added to his list of highlights by celebrating a touchdown pass with an archer-inspired move.

After throwing a touchdown against Houston, Mensah pretended to pull back a bow and shoot an imaginary arrow. The celebration quickly got attention on social media, and the ACC Network posted a video of him with an archer emoji. 

The celebration was another highlight in Mensah’s impressive start at Miami.

Mensah transferred to Miami from Duke, where he had already made a name for himself as a promising young quarterback. The Hurricanes brought him in to lead the offense, and he has quickly made an impact.

In his first game for Miami against Stanford, Mensah had one of the best performances of his career so far. He completed 27 of 30 passes for 401 yards and five touchdowns, helping Miami win 45-6. His five touchdown passes and 401 passing yards both set Miami records for a quarterback’s debut.

Mensah’s connection with wide receiver Malachi Toney stood out. They teamed up for three touchdowns, including a 47-yard score. Toney ended the game with 234 receiving yards, a new Miami single-game record.

While Mensah’s stats have been impressive, moments like his archer celebration also show his personality.

With high expectations this season, Miami will need Mensah to keep making big plays. His accuracy, ability to create explosive moments, and chemistry with the receivers could be key to the Hurricanes’ success.
