The Green Bay Packers have been without Micah Parsons while he recovers from an ACL injury.

As a result, head coach Matt LaFleur stated on Tuesday that Parsons will not practice this week before the Bears game on Sunday, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. LaFleur also said that while Parsons has made progress, there is no official timetable for his return.

Last December, Parsons suffered a season-ending ACL injury in a game against the Denver Broncos. Since then, Parsons has rehabilitated and has had no setbacks. Nevertheless, the Packers don't want to take any chances and are letting Parsons' recovery progress as gradually as possible.

Meanwhile, the Packers are off to a 2-2 start to the year without Parsons. Last weekend, they suffered a 16-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. A game that added to a growing list of Green Bay players getting injured.

WR Jayden Reed sustained a season-ending neck injury. LB Edgerrin Cooper's season ended with a knee injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. OT Zach Bako-Bewele is also out for the season with a knee injury.

On the flip side, the Bears are off to a 3-1 start, defeating the New York Jets 23-12 last Sunday.

In August 2025, the Packers acquired Parsons after trading with the Dallas Cowboys during an intense contract standoff.

Before his ACL injury, Parsons played in 14 games and recorded 41 tackles, 12. 5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. In the process, he became the first player in NFL history to record at least 12 sacks in his first five seasons.
