With the Houston Texans getting the last-second win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in London, England, it also marked the debut game of Marvin Harrison Jr. after being traded from the Arizona Cardinals. In the Texans' London thriller against the Jaguars, Harrison would speak on his debut and how he feels marking a new NFL chapter.

In his first game with Houston, Harrison would catch three passes for 34 yards on four targets from star quarterback C.J. Stroud, as the two have familiarity from the time together with the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2021 and 2022. While Harrison is still getting acclimated to his new team, he spoke about his feelings after a big AFC South win.

“It feels great. I told you guys before. I just want to come here and help this team win games. So we're 1-0,” Harrison said, according to Aaron Wilson.

“Coach did a good job giving me a game plan that I can go out there and execute,” Harrison continued. “Been talking to C.J. [Stroud] throughout the week, know what plays we kind of like, and did good this week.”

Marvin Harrison Jr. on how much of the Texans playbook he knows

Harrison is looking to only help the play of Stroud, who has been in the midst of an impressive season with the Texans, who, in the game, threw for 312 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. As for Harrison, he was asked about how much of the playbook he knows, admitting “not even half.”

“I can imagine not even half the playbook at all. So look forward to go back to the States and getting back into the playbook,” Harrison said.

The 24-year-old receiver admitted that he was “definitely nervous” before grabbing his first catch with Houston in the second quarter of the contest. However, Stroud's feeling in throwing to Harrison “felt like old times.”

“I thought he looked great. We'll get him more touches going forward,” Stroud said.

At any rate, the rapport on the Texans between Stroud and Harrison will continue on Oct. 25 when the team takes on the New York Giants.
