The Los Angeles Lakers suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night, and the team didn't get good news following the contest on Wednesday.

Star guard Luka Doncic has been ruled out for Wednesday night's game against the LA Clippers, the second night of a back-to-back set for the Lakers, due to back tightness. Doncic scored 41 points with five rebounds and nine assists while shooting 12-of-22 from the field, 6-of-15 from three, and 11-of-13 from three in the Lakers' 136-129 loss against Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Doncic did not speak with reporters after the game as he was receiving extended treatment following a rough contest. There didn't appear to be any play that Doncic suffered the injury, but clearly the superstar is not mobile enough to play through the injury and will need a night off.

In addition to Doncic, Lakers forward Ziaire Williams will also miss Wednesday night's contest with left foot soreness. Williams is also a starter for the Lakers and played 28 minutes on Tuesday night.
