The Lions got safety Brian Branch and center Cade Mays back at practice a couple of weeks ago and both players are set to return to the lineup in Week 7.
Head coach Dan Campbell said on Monday that the expectation is that Branch and Mays will play against the Packers. Branch tore his Achilles last season and Mays broke his wrist over the summer.
“Barring anything negatively happening between now and the game, we plan on playing both of those guys,” Campbell said on Monday.
The Lions will need to formally activate both players and they made space for them by placing three players on injured reserve during their bye week.
