Liam Rosenior has no regrets after celebrating in front of his former club Strasbourg's fans on Saturday.

Rosenior, who now manages Paris FC, sparked a brawl on the pitch after his new side beat his old one 2-1 in Ligue 1.

Paris moved up to third in the table as they continued their unbeaten start to the season with another victory.

The ex-Chelsea manager is enjoying his time in the French capital, but beating Strasbourg appears to be his highlight so far.

What did Liam Rosenior do to the Strasbourg fans?

After the full-time whistle, as the visiting players clapped the travelling supporters, Rosenior entered the pitch.

Footage showed him walking towards the away end, waving his arms and shouting in celebration in the fans' direction.

He beat his chest and flung his arm at the Strasbourg supporters, with their players then rushing over towards him.

Chaos then ensued, with a scuffle breaking out on the pitch and both teams flooding towards the clash to get involved.

Rosenior was eventually dragged away from the heated moment and turned to the Paris FC fans to celebrate with them.

What did Rosenior say about the incident?

The full-time reaction from Rosenior appeared to follow insults coming his way from the stands - and he cleared up the reasoning behind the flashpoint when asked about it post-match.

"I will say, the people in the club that know me know I've always been respectful," he told Ligue 1 Plus.

"I've always wanted the best for that football club. I still do want the best for that football club.

"When I heard the chants... I understand French, I understand the context of the language. That's a step too far. There are a lot of things that have happened.

"It's a wonderful football club, it's a great city, it's a club with great tradition, I've always protected those traditions.

"So for me to celebrate in the way that I did was for many reasons."

He later added in his press conference: "A small part of the supporters, and I emphasise, a small part of them because Strasbourg is a fantastic club, were disrespectful.

"They insulted my family. My bench was very angry. So for me, celebrating like that, obviously it was a message.

"I won't say anything more about it."

When did Rosenior leave Strasbourg?

Rosenior spent 18 months as Strasbourg manager from 2024 through to the start of 2026, when he joined Chelsea.

The former Premier League defender left the Ligue 1 outfit to join the Blues to replace Enzo Maresca in the dugout.

He took charge of 63 games as Strasbourg boss, winning 32 of them and leading them to Europe for the first time in six years.

Unfortunately for him though, his stint at Chelsea would only last four months, losing ten of 23 games in the role.

Four months after his quick sacking at Stamford Bridge, Rosenior was appointed as Paris FC manager, returning to France.

And he's thrived since, winning three matches and drawing two in Ligue 1 since his appointment.
