The Seattle Seahawks watched star defensive lineman Leonard Williams leave in excruciating fashion Sunday. He never got to play a full game in the 30-23 home win over the winless Los Angeles Chargers. But Seahawk fans can breathe out relief amid his NFL Injury.

ESPN Seahawks insider Brady Henderson revealed the diagnosis of Williams' ailment.

“Mike Macdonald said Leonard Williams’ ankle injury does not appear to be serious,” Henderson posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.

Williams never recorded any tackles or sacks. But he delivered one quarterback hit of Justin Herbert. The veteran Super Bowl winner played on a Seahawks defense that frustrated the All-Pro quarterback, as Seattle held Herbert to only 189 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The Seahawks swarmed Herbert too with grabbing four sacks of him.

Seattle dominated the line of scrimmage too, snatching nine tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The defending Super Bowl champs tallied 138 rushing yards and averaged 4.2 yards per carry on the offensive side.

Except the ‘Hawks needed to hold off a late Bolts rally, as LAC scored 10 unanswered points during the fourth quarter to slice the 30-13 deficit.

Williams, meanwhile, managed to avoid a serious injury which involved him needing to go inside the blue medical tent. Although he faces a pending status against the now 4-0 San Francisco 49ers next Sunday in a marquee NFC West showdown. Seahawk fans will know more once the team and league unveils the full injury report which is released every Wednesday across the league.
