Lane Kiffin is getting intense criticism from the LSU Tigers fanbase following their 31-13 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday evening.

Kiffin is going through his first season as the Tigers' head coach following a controversial exit from Ole Miss. He looks to achieve the objective of leading LSU to the College Football Playoffs, one that seems to be harder than he initially anticipated.

Losing to Alabama ramped up the frustration among fans. Even Barstool personality T-Bob Hebert blasted him and LSU on social media, with some fans expressing their thoughts on Reddit.

“Absolutely f**king embarrassing, there is ONE THING that the best f**king state in the country cares about and you f**king BLEW IT You didn’t get unlucky YOU GOT F**KING DOMINATED this is the most pathetic loss that LSU has ever experienced,” Hebert wrote.

“That first half was awful awful game management by Kiffin. LSU gets the ball to start the 2nd half. Why did kiffin go for it so many times on 4th down instead of taking the points? At worst your down 10-9 with the ball back to start the 2nd half. The difference that game was bama had a calm collected coach who didn’t make emotional decisions it felt like lane was pressing that entire game. All those yards gained means nothing if you walk away empty. Womack called that defense Almost as if he knew Kiffin and Leavitt wouldn’t execute and malfunction in the redzone when the pressure got tight,” one fan wrote on Reddit.

How Lane Kiffin, LSU performed against Alabama

Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers have some self-reflecting to do after losing to Alabama. Falling to 6-3 this season, they will need to win out to have an outside chance of being in CFP contention.

Both teams traded blows throughout the contest, seeing Alabama up 17-13 after three quarters. It wasn't until the fourth period when the Crimson Tide took full control, outscoring LSU 14-0 in the last 15 minutes of regulation.

Sam Leavitt failed to record any type of touchdown in the game, frequently throwing the ball to receivers for potential scoring opportunities but to no avail. He completed 35 out of 47 passes for 380 yards and an interception.
