LSU football head coach Lane Kiffin knows there will be a chaotic atmosphere when his team takes on Ole Miss on Saturday night. Kiffin, of course, previously coached the Rebels but certainly did not leave on the best of terms. Ole Miss fans are already letting Kiffin know how they feel, and he will hear it even more during Saturday's game. Kiffin explained how he is preparing his team for the matchup during an appearance on ESPN College Gameday, via Kirk Herbstreit.

“We just try to do everything to simulate the game, simulate the day,” Kiffin said. “… In this situation, having people heckle them just so that they get used to it so that they try not to react when they get into that setting today because there's gonna be a lot of emotion all through the stadium obviously. You're feeling that right now… I look at it differently. What an awesome thing for college football.

“To have this game, have this much energy, have two states behind their programs like this from governors to everybody, I mean, this is college football.”

Kiffin is aware that he won't be the only person associated with LSU football that will be heckled on Saturday. He is hoping to have his players prepared for the atmosphere.

The game itself projects to be quite competitive. No. 7 LSU and No. 8 Ole Miss are both 8-0 heading into the contest. It's a crucial game for both teams, and earning a win will be of the utmost importance.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM ET in Mississippi.
